Top Ten Xbox 360 Exclusives

GamingUnion.net: Over the past few weeks we've taken an in-depth look at the PlayStation 3's exclusive software offering, the triumphant and a few slightly less so. This time we're focusing on Microsoft's Xbox 360, a console that benefited greatly from its first-move position this generation, gaining a number of third-party de facto exclusives as a result. What follows is our list of the top ten Xbox 360 exclusives titles - limited to full retail offerings, one entry per franchise, and listed in alphabetical order. What's that you say? Some of these titles can also be found on PC? While true, for the sake of examining the infinitely entertaining console arms race, these games will be placed in Microsoft's camp. (Alan Wake, Crackdown, Dead Rising, Fable 2, Forza Motorsport 2, Gears of War, Halo 3, Left 4 Dead, Mass Effect, Splinter Cell: Conviction, Xbox 360)

Halo Reach should be on there before Halo 3 IMO. Reach is one of the best games i've played.

I really enjoyed Left for Dead and the original Fable. I would definitely to try out crackdown and the original Mass Effect, but I guess my PS3 will have to do.. :-P

Where is Kameo and Lost Odyssey
mephman  +   1685d ago
Lost Odyssey got an honourable mention.

I'm sick and tired of these 'top exclusive' lists which don't include ONLY exclusives. I mean why call the list top EXCLUSIVES if you're not going to include only exclusives?
Hardedge  +   1685d ago
They're all still Microsoft exclusive. I don't see what the big problem is really, such a trivial thing.
rabidpancakeburglar  +   1685d ago
They aren't all microsoft exclusives though, some are available on macs
undercovrr  +   1685d ago
They may not be available to Ps3 users, but most are available on PC (SC Conviction, mass Effect, L4D, Gears of war). The title states "top ten Xbox 360 excusives". Clearly half of them are NOT xbox 360 exclusives since they are available on pc and/or mac.

Left 4 Dead, Mass Effect and Splinter Cell aren't exclusives, they are also on the pc

Dead Rising isn't even a "console" exclusive. It was ported to Wii. Gears 1 was on PC as well.

Gears 1 on PC o this day still easily beats out most consoles games in terms of graphics.
Hardedge  +   1685d ago
Mass Effect for sure.

Splinter Cell: Conviction -PC
Mass Effect -PC
Left 4 Dead -PC
Halo 3
Gears of War -PC
Forza Motorsport 2
Fable II
Dead Rising - Wii
Alan Wake

So a Top ten list feature 4 exclusives.
Rageanitus  +   1685d ago
This is why IMO Alan Wake is the best xbox exclusive... come one where are the exclusives...
TheDivine  +   1685d ago
Can u play those on anothr console? Its a reason to get a 360 and id add lost odyssey, metro 2033, divinity 2, magna carta 2, shadow complex, tales of vesperia, and a few more myself. Alan Wake is def one of the best games of this gen and worth a console purchase. Nice to see how many people showed up to talk smack, sippin too much hateraid.
Whackedorange  +   1683d ago
Tales Of Vesperia is availible in Japan on PS3 and since games on the Ps3 is region free its importable.

seeing that valve(steam) and sony are getting together
L4D might hit the ps3
Raven_Nomad  +   1685d ago
Kind of doubt it. With Portal 2 and rumors of Half Life Episode 3, I kind of think it stays on 360.

Besides, at this point almost 4 years later I am not sure how well received a online game would do on PSN.
Raven_Nomad  +   1685d ago
That is a nice list, I actually own every one of them.
I prefer Crackdown 2 and Forza 3 though, other then that you cant get much better then that list.

Most of those games can be purchased on the cheap side as well, I would say $80 for all of them, maybe $90. Perfect list though IMHO.
Redgehammer  +   1685d ago
The games are console exclusive, just not format exclusive. I bet MS doesn't mind games being on the 360, and PC.
