To many, playing an MMO ranks up as a strong indication of several different psychiatric disorders, primarily for its strong dissociative and obsessive qualities. Well, professionals of my esteemed community, I say nay. Just this past week, DC Universe Online received its official update, giving it loads of new goodies to enrich the entirety of its terminally-ill world. That’s how it is, isn’t it? In comic books, the bad guys are always sick, so they bring the men in the nice suits to carry them away.
If you do not read this whole update, here's what you need to know:
* Episode 46 is Justice League Dark Cursed
* PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X launch this holiday season
WTMG's Thomas Medina: "As far as I’m concerned, console MMOs have always been in a weird place. PC is where the main game is most popular. MMOs were born there, work best there, and have the vast majority of titles. Mobile is then next in line, with touchscreens and portability that adds something new while functioning well. Console gaming, on the other hand, is not portable (for the most part). Plus, it uses a controller, which is not the best instrument when your control scheme requires a thousand buttons and a cursor. That being said, there is an audience, and where there’s money to be made, publishers find a way. So here we are with some of the biggest console MMO games and how I feel they handled 2021. "
From Xfire: "A lot of video games are designed to make players feel like a superhero. However, very few actually feature superheroes or have players take on the role of a superhero. What makes this even worse is that there are even fewer superhero video games that can be considered good."
Very well written.
Post launch support has been incredible for this game, but it's expected because it's an MMO.
I forgot about this game not because I don't like it - quite the contrary, it's a blast but my PS3 died rendering my sub useless.
Good to see that when I do play it again, that I'll have a couple of months of extra content to enjoy and at no extra cost.
What im mad about im a villian and im sick of doing Raids and Alerts that you have to fight against villians i stopped playing it last month.
The reason i stopped playing this game is because the server of my main char just died... I mean..seriously it's impossible to spend less than 1 hour finding a group for an alert let alone a raid.
