I have seen it all before. It looks like a final fantasy game with no innovations besides better graphics and a distinct visual style. Maybe it´s just me! I never understood these turn-based japanese RPGs. Well in the end it all boils down to the story I guess...

tell that to sony and the masive ff fans

Right now the 360 has no answer to the upcoming Final Fantasy which will probably sell a lot of systems in Japan, even if it's crap.

The 360 needs an HD drive though, 4 disks is unacceptable.

360 RPG fans better be buying these up, Microsoft is trying to install a 360 base in Japan and if the 360 continues to do poorly there (which I'm sure it will), these games will no longer be produced unless they do well in the US.

Hironobo Sakaguchi is the Designer and creator of Final Fantasy.
Hironobo Sakaguchi is the Designer and creator of Lost Odessey.

Hironobo Sakaguchi has nothing to do with Final Fantasy. The games are unrelated to the previous works in any way besides the title.

If you like Final Fantasy, buy this game (or Blue Dragon) and you'll be getting the master's work. If you want a title that is the exploitation of what Sakaguchi once created, buy future FF titles.

Blue Dragon BTW is terrific. I have never enjoyed a JRPG more. I played and loved FFVII, but was never a big fan of other JRPGs I tried.

When I got my Xbox 360, I wanted to try another of Sakaguchi's titles, it is terrific. I might prefer the art direction seen in Lost Odessey, but I did enjoy the anime style of BD.

I love Anime, and I though this intro was very engaging and visionary. Great work. Hope the game is as good as it promises to be.

I totally agree. I've never got the appeal of them, nor have i found a story that's interesting to me. I don't get what so many people see in JRPGs but meh.

bababrooks, this game is created by Hironobu Sakaguchi's Studio Mistwalker. Hironobu Sakaguchi is the Creator of the Final Fantasy Series and was responsible for Final Fantasy 1 through 10. They = Mistwalker

Hell if there were that many games for any other console coming in the near future worth my money I would own more than one console. Looking for new IP's though; not old series on Nintendo's consoles or series that started on Nintendo's consoles but are now popular on PS consoles.

Ahhhh3692d ago

I think it looks good.. To the people above isn't one of the former creators of the older FF making this?

kewlkat0073692d ago (Edited 3692d ago )

by the Final Fantasy series originator himself Hironobu Sakaguchi.

This guy Created the Final Fantasy series. I think FFVII was the last one he really worked on. He also supervised others down the line before he got canned.

Plus you have the greatest VG music composer known to man working on the soundtrack.

Gears of War is enough reason to get a 360.

Goshyujin_Sama3692d ago

Gears runs mutch better on PC, infact almost all 360 games that are also on windows,(which is almost all of the) run better on PC....This game however may actually give me a reason to fire up by 360, finally a game with a storyline on 360
