Incomplete Games: Greedy Publishers or Incompetent Devs, Who's to Blame?

The modern era of console technology, whose graphical capabilities have made progress unheard of in a single generation of consoles before, have seen other changes as well. A big feature unique to this era of consoles is the level of internet functionality. Now users can download patches for games, and any issues that might have been present in the launch can be repaired. i blame the damn publishers for putting pressure on the devs

pangitkqb2438d ago (Edited 2438d ago )

The answer is....both. Publishers pressure devs and then, because of pressure, devs agree to release an incomplete game.

Even worse, however, is when an incomplete or buggy game is released and then dev and Publisher alike have the gall to complain about low sales.

The only thing worse than that is the truly well made game that is under appreciated.

I'm not so sure devs ever "agree" to release an incomplete game...Pretty sure it's just publishers calling the shots

I dont think low sales wont be a problem. How many broken game have sold good ?? in the end its all about Interest.

publishers, there is no doubt

Publishers all the way i think they should just give the devs all the time they need.

But they have to draw a line. Publishers don't have bottomless pockets. The devs need to work within their boundaries.
