Joining the hugely popular Hidden Object Game (HOG) genre, Gardens of Time is an innovative browser title that allows players to connect and play through the popular social platform, Facebook. For those not familiar with the HOG genre, a variety of images are displayed on the screen and the player must use their detective skills to locate various items, these can be items out of place or in the wrong time period, or just items written on a list. HOG games have been around for decades with titles appearing as early as the original Playstation so it’s no surprise that they’re finally bringing it to the online world.
Gardens of Time was the only hidden object game riding the popularity wave, until Zynga made its foray into the hidden object genre. And with the launch of World Mysteries, it seems the HoG genre is slowly catching up other Facebook game genres.
