Earlier? They have no excuse if it's plagued with dozens upon dozens of bugs when it ships, then.

They've already had the beta ;)

sweet looking forward to this game with all the customization and all the running and jumping. Plus im pretty sure they did it because of L.A. Noire. Take notes Remedy...

Wow, people will b%tch about anything. You should be happy.

Smacktard2780d ago

Beg pardon? I think that a game should be playable when it ships. Is that so much to ask? Today's gamers and gaming companies seem to think it's fine to substitute quality for fast creation and shipment.

Sorry if I prefer to buy my games "done" rather than "mostly done".

I don't think he's complaining. It seems to me that all Smacktard was trying to say was that if the release date has been moved up, there should be little to no issues with it. Only a publisher really confident in their product would move the release date up.

@ Smack
When it comes down to it what could they possibly do with that extra week, technically speaking? How would they fix the thousands of copies that would already be on the way to the retailer if it was glitched? Think man, they're ready to go at that point. If they cut it that close chances are the game wouldn't be shipping on the 17th anyway. They originally gave themselves extra time after delaying the April release and realized they didn't need all the time. Good on them for delivering to us earlier.

Sorry if I see your comment as trollish and negative, after following this game for quite a while I have faith in Splash Damage. Hence moving it up is great, 7 less days I have to wait.

early is good... if theres no bugs lol

It's a bloody week, the game is sitting in the back's of trucks or even in the back part's of Gamestop by now.

BShea2780d ago (Edited 2780d ago )

My guess is this is to avoid sharing a date with L.A. Noire. I can't wait to try this game though!

palaeomerus2780d ago

Could be. Late May is pretty crowded with games and it is a new IP so launching a week early may be a good move.

I think this is going to be a giant hit for bethesda/splash damage, with the right advertising. ie. A demo.
