Is Anonymous Losing Its Focus?

Two commonly referenced parallels are how jailbreaking an iPhone is now legal, and how Sony attempting to squash hackers is the same as a company selling you a PC and preventing you from installing or uninstalling software on it.

Both of these comparisons are wrong, let’s look at them in detail. (PS3, Sony)

As if those crackpots ever had any. Oh Oh let's crash Sony servers to tick Sony off.

In the meantime ticking everone who uses psn off. You've just made 40million enemies losers.

40 million enemies? Ummm...lol. Do you actually think that more than 5% of PS3 owners even know that this is going on?
It was a play on words. It's used for comical effect. Honestly I shouldn't have to explain this stuff. This and sarcasm should be recognizable by now -_-

Edit:Wth are you talking about? I never said it was sarcasm.

*sighs* People please learn how to read. I mean really LogicWins THE VERY....FIRST....SENTENCE of my post; "It was a play on words." I know people on this site like to comment before reading but this is just ridiculous.

Well, the only thing thats truly "comical" about this is ur pathetic attempt to pass off your comment as sarcasm upon realizing how stupid it was.

@ExgamerLegends- Relax, it was a play on words used for comical effect...don't get ur panties in bunch.

I am on PSN but still love Anonymous, and helped with stuff they've done.
rabidpancakeburglar  +   774d ago
Then you're a tit
TheDeadMetalhead  +   774d ago

Anonymous always ends up in failure. The campaign against Scientology was full of fail.
Eiffel  +   774d ago
How exactly was it a fail? They saved people from the cult, helped reunite families, got several orgs closed, made it safe for people to speak out against them. Provided facts and evidence to the public against Scientology and their crimes. Helped families get their financial life back. They have routine daily protest videos on whyweprotest.net There is no goal to ultimately destroy Scientology, it was to change the corrupt ways they ran their religion going as far as to break the law to do so, as Anonymous has nothing against peoples beliefs.

They're WINNING.

lol, I'll have to bite my tongue to not respond to that level of logic.

Any idea can be taken to the extreme and form a cult, the Third Reich and Stalin style communism are secular ideas, and they killed tens of millions.

Anonymous mask reminds me of "V for Vendetta" movie LOL.

I wonder what will be the reaction of allan moore (Author of that novel) about this, using the mask of "Vendetta"?
Eiffel  +   774d ago
SMH. Proof N4G doesn't know what Anonymous is.

http://digg.com/news/story/...

He supports it.
Agent_hitman  +   774d ago
Oh okay, thanks for sharing this.
But I feel bad, allan moore supports that kind of doings?..

I would like to think that allan moore knows the people behind anonymous group?
Eiffel  +   774d ago
He supports them for standing for what they believe. Willing to hide their identity for the safety of them self and those around them and unite as one. I know with the recent occurrences it's natural for people to look at Anonymous in bad light, but the current issues going on between them and Sony it's 50/50 on both sides with concerning issues, there's wrongs on both sides.

I find it quite hilarious people here are willing to throw slurs at them and ridicule them, despite I can guess they wouldn't be willing to stand up for what they believe in, and actually go into the public and do something about it, more than rather bitch and moan on the internet, as if it's a counter productive action.

Moor is also a strong supporter of intellectual rights.

Reminds IT IS... its the v for vendetta mask same thing. Adjust your contacts or glasses because your eyes didnt lie to you, your mind did.

Not to judge anon in any way, but they went about it all wrong, they should have attacked smaller sites which are affilated with sony, in the name of the protest against them.

They were never going to do any lasting damage to sony with the DDoS attacks.

Now, my own opinion, anon are not fighting for freedom of information or whatever they claim. And although there are people out there who would want the PS3 information so they can do homebrew which is legal, 99% dont and want it for piracy, which I bet is what half the people protesting want it for too, the other half just jump on the bandwagon to be part of something stupid that they admire.
