The biggest video game franchise coming to 3DS may not involve Mario, Kirby and Link. There's a great chance that Capcom will release a new entry in its popular Monster Hunter series on Nintendo's machine. Chris Buffa (Modojo)
Obvious statement is obvious. PSP is in the driver's seat right now in good ol' Nippon, no reason for Capcom to make the switch with an already huge + growing PSP userbase.
It seems like Monster Hunter 3DS is coming...and may be officially announced this week. No reason for Capcom to switch? No system lives forever, and PSP might as well be on life support in the U.S. Japan isn't the video game capital it used to be. Not even close.
Just don't be surprised when it does get a 3DS release, I would buy MH regardless of system, it's just too good to miss. Also MH tri is on Nintendo Wii. Also, it would definately sell more on the 3ds, along with japan's fetish for nintendo and fetish for Monster Hunter.
"Also, it would definitely sell more on the 3ds, along with japan's fetish for Nintendo and fetish for Monster Hunter." Just like MHWii outsold MH for PSP, right?
"Just like MHWii outsold MH for PSP, right?" From what I've gathered, Japanese gamers prefer playing their games on the go rather than in their homes or wherever their consoles are hooked up. If you don't believe me, look how well Dragon Quest IX and Pokemon Black/White did.
I'm looking forward to seeing what the game has to offer. If it exists, I hope Capcom makes use of StreetPass.
I loved Tri, and would certainly buy MH regardless of which console it's on (if i own the console of course). @Goodfella2487 Japan is well known for buying more games on portables and you know it, so why don't you compare Tri to the other home console MH games eh?
It would definitely see a boost but do people want it on the 3DS when the NGP with 2 analogue sticks is coming out.
Definitely. Nintendo will need some serious ammo going into the holiday season.
