I want to say The 3rd Birthday is a flawed gem, but it isn’t. It’s closer to a bold but misguided philosophy than a tarnished object of worth. There are big and bright ideas contained within, ones that may have merit or value taken by themselves. Yet it’s hampered by how it goes about executing those ideas, creating a title that is best “experienced” rather than “played”.
