The Rock Wants In On A 'Call of Duty: Black Ops' Movie

MTV:" Despite his mixed resume, it seems Johnson isn't ruling out the possibility of working on another video game movie project, if the variables are right. He spoke with MTV's movies editor, Josh Horowitz, about the prospects: "I think if the right one came along. I thought we had an opportunity with 'DOOM.' Didn't work out the way we wanted it to, creatively. But yeah, if the right opportunity came along and the script is good, sure."

The problem I have with the Rock is that his speech sounds too refined/intelligent for someone his size. I feel like his big size throws off his roles as ordinary guys while his speech throws off his roles as a big/tough guy.

Ice cube should be in it along with all the same voice actors that actually look like the characters would be cheaper for kotick anyway lol

guess he didn't learn his lesson from the Doom movie.

the only even semi-good movie based on a video game is the first Resident Evil, and that's only because the director was smart enough to not let the B-movie actors talk very much. and Manson did a really good job with the soundtrack.

nah that would be silent hill imo .

RE1 was a crap action movie that gets some recognition , because the sequels are so much worse and it made money .

At least Silent hill kept some of the spooky atmosphere right

sorry, i don't see it. silent hill was pretty crap if you ask me. not memorable at all. only thing i remember about it is that it ended with her goin back into the thick of it...just like in aliens when ripley goes back for newt. pretty lame.

resident evil set an atmosphere...and because it kept it tense and wouldn't let the actors speak much, it just kept it tight. that is, of course, til the last 20 minutes when it really fell apart. i'm not going to say it was a good movie..i'm just saying when i saw it on opening day, in packed a theater, stoned outta my mind...i was on the edge of my seat, and so were the 3 other ppl i was with.

"silent hill was pretty crap if you ask me"

He's right and you're right. That just goes to show how much fail the first RE was.

Personally I believe a Metro 2033 movie could do extremely well given the right director.

Also I'm having trouble picturing a cod movie...Wouldn't it just be a mixture of every decent action movie to come out in the last 15 years?

If you think about it "The Rock" (no pun intended I'm talking about the Nicholas Cage, Sean Connery movie) could be considered a "CoD" movie...

It's complete with Hans Zimmer music and all.

I remember someone who looked like him, also named THE ROCK, but was a badass pro wrestler.

Commander_TK2782d ago

Yes, he kicked Cena's ass at WrestleMania

_EvilMonkey_2782d ago

I don't know, The Rock was pretty bad in Doom.

theonlylolking2782d ago

I think he would do pretty good in a gears of war movie.
