While similar in gameplay and game execution to previous SOCOM titles, SOCOM 4 is shaping up to deliver a more immersive experience and that’s all thanks to the new Sharp Shooter peripheral.
"Going through three of the game’s campaign objectives with the Sharp Shooter, one thing became abundantly clear: this is the way the game is meant to be played" "It may sound a bit over-the-top, but once you get the Sharp Shooter in hand there is no way you‘ll be able to go back and play SOCOM 4 without the Sharp Shooter." This is what i like to hear. Also from the article it sounds like the Sharpshooter is best for third person shooters and the move by itself for first person.
Looks like if this is indeed true, I just may go out and buy a playstation move. Then I can also enjoy it with my copy of KZ3 :)
Killzone 3 is the best game for Move that I've played. I don't have a sharpshooter. I would like to buy Socom 4 and a sharpshooter but there's other games I'd rather buy in the rest of the first half of 2011. I'd rather buy Mortal Kombat, Motorstorm Apocalypse, LA, Noire and inFAMOUS 2 hero edition. I'm a fan of the PS Move so I will check out Socom 4 eventually.
playing the SOCOM beta with the move more than I like using it for KZ3. KZ3 requires fast, pinpoint aiming to do well, whereas SOCOM is slower paced, allowing me to get used to the feel of the Move with the game.
I don't know if you tried tweaking the move settings in killzone 3 yet but I found that changing them to (from top to bottom) 0, 10, 20, 30 makes the game feel SOOOO much more accurate and intuitive than the dualshock. And also just use your wrist to aim rather than waving around your arm. Hope that helps.
I liked the move with KZ3 better, tried it with S4 beta but it didn't feel as smooth to me as KZ3 did. Although I didn't really give the move and S4 much chance, I would rather try to get use to it in single player first when the game comes out.
I've done all that, but KZ3 is to complicated to play for me to respond well with the Move. Infiltrators running around, other tacticians, rushing your spawn, and especially in Operations games where rushing the objective is the main goal. I can't do it. Socom is better suited for the Move imo. Te campaign for KZ3 with the Move was solid though.
I can't do KZ3 with the move either. Dual Shock all the way for me for hardcore games, I guess.
Wow I just said something about SP on another article.Once I leave tha article I find this one.WTF is going on.If what I just read is true then Socom 4 is Game of tha Year hands down in my eyes.No matter what game you name will not change my mind so dont waste tha energy of typing...
Sounds good for people with the PS Dildo, Move I mean, the PS Move! :) On another note, Can't wait to play the retail version of SOCRACK.
Here in Canada I saw a SOCOM4 bundle for $149.99. You get the Sharpshooter, PS Move Navigation controller, PS Eye, PS Move controller, and a copy of SOCOM4. I'll most likely be picking that up, just wanted to put that out there. No clue if this same bundle is offered elsewhere but you should check it out.
Wow great deal I havent seen anything like that in tha States. ;(
Umm... http://www.gamestop.com/ps3... Yeah...
I agree with this. I've used move during the entire beta. Easily the best game so far with it.
Havent played socom with the move yet, ill put some time in with it .
Thats great to hear. Can't wait to get my hands on it.
I NEVER ONCE USED THE DS3 WITH THE SOCOM 4 BETA, KZ3, OR ANY OTHER MOVE (DS3 OPTIONAL) GAMES
I think that's the way to do it. Just jump in, that's what made the wii successful, it was the first option the moment you opened the box and the moment you loaded your first game. currently i'm sticking to compaign/solo games for the move and not really much on online move support. I did a little with k3. I hope to play socom 4 campaign all the way through with the sharp shooter.
