CVG - Half-Life is arguably the greatest and most well regarded gaming franchise of all time. You could say that the next step in the series is the most anticipated out there at the moment; at least it would be, if we hadn't been waiting for years for a scrap, a morsel, anything that might suggest what it will entail.

I can't honestly see Valve making a big deal at E3 over DOTA 2 since it's just for PC and also the same applies for Portal 2 DLC.
We still have those other two surprizes they are going to "wow" us with
It will get Portal 2s release day, someone will find something HL3 releated (Yes Half life 3 since were way past episodes now), the internet will be full of HL3 talk, we get to E3, they'll announce it (teaser would be nice) and they'll get DOTA 2 out, suport Portal 2 and BY THEN we'll see Half life 3 next year.
I really don't want Valve to release it for 2013 or 2014 because it's by then they are pushing it with the fans...especialy if there starving us with no info
