PlayStation Universe takes you through the first 15 minutes of Crytek's much-anticipated sci-fi blaster, Crysis 2.
PS3 version looks pretty good
I must say game looks great 1 problem I have is its kinda hard to tell from ur team and the other teams colors I have a new 3d samsung plasma tv any ideas or help?
Not a fan (at least nor yet) but it does looks good . It can't really be argued that it's one of the few multi platform (the other one imo being castlevania ) that comes pretty close to the biggest ps3 exclusive
I wasn't that impressed with Castlevania from a graphical perspective. Haven't seen the PS3 version but the 360 version has no AA at all. Personally I'm more hyped about Brink than Crysis 2.
looks awesome, cant wait to pick it up
I've been playing Crysis 2 on PS3 for a couple hours. The game is amazing! The graphics are top-notch, the nanosuit allows you to use a cloaking mode to sneak up on guys. You can pick up objects and throw them to do damage. The nanosuit allows you to do power jumps where you hold down the button and jump higher. I haven't even scratched the surface of this game in the time I've been playing, but it's one of the best FPS games I've played in a long time! I like the bright colors of NY as opposed to the drab colors and depressed feeling of KZ3. I also think that Crysis 2 is more fun.
Have you noticed any graphical issues?
lots of it. it's a damned good game, though you would have to forgive it's occasional visual glitches. most of the time you can see a lot of clipping, flickering textures, slow-streaming textures and unstable framerate. cryengine is definitely a winner in the pc graphics department against unreal engine 3, but crytek needs to work harder to compete with them on ue3 turf which is the consoles. it's good but ue3 does a better job on consoles. just my short review.
There are a few hiccups but nothing game breaking.
I pre-order the PS3 version in the beginning and ended up switching to PC when I went to pick it up. The game looks top notch with almost no aliasing on extreme settings and it ran way better than the first Crysis ever did on my machine. I would of picked up PS3 version but I found with the demo's image quality that it was much harder to spot cloaked players and objects in the distance compared to the PC version.
