Bitmob: What not to do: 10 rules for game developers

Let's face it -- video games can be pretty silly sometimes. Here are ten rules to make them a little less ridiculous.

The story is too old to be commented.

Swords will always rule. Still, I did wonder how those Enslaved outfits got approved.

Okay... let's have a fun little duel. You can bring your Nodachi or Claymore and I'll bring a howitzer. We can start about 40km away from each other, which should put you approx 1km out of my range.

If you can make it to me, you win! Easy-peasy!!!

[BTW, I hope you don't mind if I use 203mm W33 nuclear shells.]

Here's my rule no. 1, don't screw/piss off/f uck with your fan-base/customers.

The guys at Enslaved are already screwing with fan-bases...

Devil May Cry reboot! :(

In anime or an anime setting, huge swords will always beat guns. They can block or split bullets in half so they hit the two bad guys to either side, and they can even cleave through tanks.

Its a game dunbass. A virtual, surreal environment that's suppose to be shaped as pleased. Making "realism" as non-malleable as it is in reality is just stupid, but of course that's exactly what's happening in todays gaming industry.

Why is the worm in Mass Effect a glitch? The worm is trying to kill you... the point is to NOT stand in one place. Not a glitch.

My thoughts exactly!

I guess there were too many whiners saying it was too difficult.
