1UP: Shogun 2: Total War Review

Today, it snows in hell, pigs fly, and Creative Assembly finally takes its place alongside Blizzard as the creator of a polished, smart, generous, elegant, and bold strategy game.

The story is too old to be commented.

'tis a pity.

Oh well, strategy fans know where it's at, and for them, it's a heroic victory.

This is the first game released in a long, long time that I'm certain will hold my attention for years.

@others considering getting this..
Do get it, but it might be an idea to start out with Rome: total war first. Cheaper and slightly more accessible for newcomers.

I've never played these games. Are they RTS similar to Starcraft/C&C etc?

Ever played a Civilization game?
It is turn-based for the most part, except battles are large-scale and in real-time.
So it's a combination of Turn-based and real-time strategy.

There's a demo for it on steam, so that might be useful if yer interested.
