Crysis 2 kills off 2 Multiplayer Character Classes

@XG247: We’ve been running around with our upcoming review of Crysis 2 for the past week and we thought we’d best shed up light on the death of a couple of character classes.

The story is too old to be commented.

Why? It looks great. And Crytek combining those two classes into one makes sense. They probably thought the shotty was too powerful a gun to start off with.

The demo was a disaster, it controlled bad and had tons of issues that EA pulled it before the full game.

In future thats a good lesson devs should learn. If the demo you put out in a hurry to promote the game has issues, you have to delay the whole game.

What version controlled bad? I didn't find any major issues with the demo aside from latency issues during the kill cam. What are these "tons of issues" you speak of?

They probably just renamed the demolitions to gunner and then killed defense cus they thought a the shotty was too opd for a starter weapon...

Killzone 3 should had the same treatment.

Infiltrators with shotguns and proximity mines are pretty anoying

@ mightyboot. You just have to have good eyes and try to look for the flash of red over their names. Not too hard.

Agreed, it's really not hard at all - I find people just grab at things to complain about when they're not intelligent enough to counter it with simple common sense.

I don't even play as an Infiltrator and I can spot them easily. They're the guys with the flash of red over their heads, running from the enemy spawn killing your teammates.

I've got no problem whatsoever with the balance of the game - the people who aren't any good at it do. Not a generalization, just an observation.

Sorry to continue this part of the off topic thread but I felt I had to say it.

People who have a problem with KZ3 balance =/= people who aren't good at it. People who have a problem with KZ3 balance tend to be those who feel that KZ2 is a much more balanced and well-crafted game.

i always see people complaining about this.
if they actually played killzone 2 they would know that infiltrators come up as red dots on the damn radar.

Also you have to hold down melee to brtal melee it doesnt just happen.

I do agree with mightyboot about the proximity mines...lots of players just seem to be setting loads of em around their spawns den camping..I think personally you shouldnt b able to replenish proximity mines until you die or at least till the last one blows me up lol....But infiltraters are easy to spot keep an eye on radar and your know it them coz theres no dot!
On Topic- I may pick up Crysis 2 for the SP, the MP demo didnt really do it for me....but then again L.A Noire is out soon.
