Shh Mom!: Wii Speak Woes

"Just mentioning the Wii Speak device now conjures up thoughts of disappointment for me. To see such a promising peripheral (especially for the stance Nintendo used to take) have such a lack of extended support is nothing short of depressing. I’m honestly not quite sure who’s to blame for what’s happened — is the issue more with Nintendo or third-party developers? Either way, I think its “death” could have been prevented." -- Shh Mom! (Wii, Wii Speak)

Wow, I completely forgot about this things existence I swear.
I don't really know enough about it to comment on it, but the idea sounded cool at one point. Going by this guys opinions, it had pros and cons. The main problem with this microphone is not the device itself, but rather the lack of any real online community on the Wii. It makes this thing nearly useless.

All it needed was Mario Kart support.
