playing the demo now, disappointed

"I’ve gone on the record saying that if you stick PS3 and 360 side by side I would challenge anyone to find any meaningful difference. I don’t see it at all."

really? silly blind dev... still lying

"It’s the core of CryEngine 3 that’s able to scale appropriately and we can adjust per platform exactly what we wanna get out of it."

is that why the PS3 looks and runs the worst out of the 3, well to be fair I won't include PC in that because PC should be the best but 360 vs PS3 why is PS3 the worst?

That's funny, last time i checked the demo doesn't work...

Wizziokid2442d ago

I just had one game and now I keep getting network errors.

I'm not disappointed at all. Sure it doesn't have the graphical powerhouse or tactical teamplay like KZ3. But it's a different type of FPS. If I want to play team-oriented FPS, I pop in KZ3. If I want to play twitchy fast-paced FPS, I'll play Crysis 2 because it's much more fun than COD.

Jaces2441d ago

I never thought I'd be saying this but NO. No way is Crysis 2 more fun than COD online.

COD blows Crysis 2 out of the water. Campaign wise though I have no doubt that it'll be the other way 'round.

I have played the beta and demo for the xbox 360. I have played both maps on the PS3 as well as the PC and here are the differences I have noticed graphically.

The xbox 360 version has better looking water and better frame rate when many things are happening compared to PS3.

The PS3 seems to have more motion blur and more sound FX and I did notice WAY more frame rate drops when the 5 kill streak on skyline was activated and grenades went off.(the frame rate drop was not in the 360 version)

The PC demo looks better and runs better than both.

If you were able to choose from one of the three then the PC version is the way to go.

The PS3 and 360 version are very close to each other so you could go with any one if you were able to.

For those that just got off KZ3 or crysis 2 PC then went to the crysis 2 demo(PS3 or 360) it would be painful to your eyes.

Absolutely painful going from KZ3 to Crysis 2.

I'll keep saying it. Don't expect 3rd party devs to take advantage of PS3 hardware the way 1st party devs do e.g. ND, GG etc. They just want 360/PS3 versions to look close.

I played it this morning. And I have to say that it doesn't look bad, but its definitely not better looking than Killzone 3, but the movement is better than in KZ3. However, firing a gun from the hip in Crysis is atrocious, the worst ive ever experienced. The game seems alright, but im glad im not a day one nut over this cause to me its wasted money when there are so many other better fps out there.
