Creating The Perfect Zombie Apocalypse

From Pixel Apocalypse...

"This past month, a theatrical trailer was released for a game called Dead Island. I'll agree with the guy saying there is no such thing as a perfect zombie game.

They say the zombie game market is oversaturated but the reason people want zombie games is because none of them seem "right"

Awesome article and I agree with most of what was said. Don't get me wrong, Dead Rising and Left 4 Dead games are fun, especially with friends. What I want is a zombie game that the main objective is to SURVIVE. Instead of fighting them, I want to sneak past them. And when doing so, I want the tension to be intense. One gunshot or having a flashlight would get their attention and everything would go downhill.

I want to be totally immersed and I want to know what it's really like to be the survivor of a zombie apocalypse. Using whatever I can at my disposal as a weapon and finding guns would be a luxury. You get bit, you have a set time limit before you turn, increasing the tension even more. What I think would be really cool is to have an RPG element to the game. You start out inexperienced with all the weapons and the more you use them, you become more deadly with them. If just starting to use guns, I want it to be shaky while aiming down the sights and taking a while to reload the gun.

I agree completely with the author. Left4Dead is fun and all but it lacked a griping storyline. Hopefully dead island can brings out a good fun and original zombie game
