Aussies plan to import banned Mortal Kombat

You’re all planning to import the twice-banned Mortal Kombat. Pro-tip: don’t. “Fight!” indeed, but more like “Fatality!” if you get nabbed by Australian customs

Update:

After Mortal Kombat was initially refused classification in Australia, we were all very excited when Warner Bros. announced that they were submitting an identical version on appeal. The Classification Review Board met on Friday to review their ruling on the game, and the result has come in only minutes ago: the refused classification stands. Mortal Kombat will not be sold in Australia. The official statement from Warner Bros. reads as follows:
We’re obviously extremely disappointed that the refused classification decision has been upheld by the Classification Review Board. We want to thank the thousands of Mortal Kombat fans in Australia and around the world who have voiced their support during the appeal process.
We'll bring you any more news as we receive it. In the meantime, if you find yourself enraged by this outcome, please use your energy constructively to write to your Attorney-General and urge them to help.

All they have to do is order it from game-lane which is based in AU so customs won't even check it since it would already be in the country.

I used www.mightyape.co.nz/Games/ in New Zeland to get my last banned game in and that worked fine.

Came in a plane package with no R18+ labels.

What did the plane package look like?

Stores like that 'drop ship' items. So you order from them, and they order it from a warehouse or supplier overseas. The supplier then send it to you directly from overseas, not from the local store.

It's illegal to import items that are refused classification, imagine a store trying import a bulk amount of these.

lawl.i doubt customs have time to check for "banned" videogames.

Wow Australia is really pushing this Banned thing, they should get a Life and worry about more important things

This all just shows how stupid and immoral the government is. They don't allow a mature game on their market because of stupid rating system and then bad importing it, making sure adult gamers can't get their hands on their desired entertainment. F*** this stupid rating system.
