IGN: MLB 2K11 Review

If you don't own a PS3, then MLB 2K11 is your only choice in baseball video games. It's not a bad baseball game, and has certainly made some improvements. Pitching and hitting are both fun, and the My Player mode has been expanded on to make it more accessible and engrossing. The glitches are fewer, but still noticeable, and the game does make some graphical improvements, though the game engine is looking tired. As cliché and tired as it sounds, IGN looks forward to seeing what 2K sports brings next year.

Presentation - 7.5
Graphics - 6.5
Sound - 7.0
Gameplay - 7.0
Lasting Appeal - 7.5

If you don't own a ps3? Buy it is easy and play the best baseball simulator out there.

You cant compare scores. A score is strictly for that game and that game alone.

If they were to compare games it wouldnt even be close. The Show destroys 2k11 in almost every aspect.

Tell that to metacritic and everyone that quotes metacritic. Not that I disagree with your theory because I don't, but that's the way scores are percieved, as ranking.

IGN doesn't help when they summarize and compare their various scores come year-in-review time. Considering their vast differences, these two games are scored practically the same despite Hilary and Jack's preference for the Show.

The Show is one of the best sports franchises out there for the past several years. I don't think it gets the recognition it deserves because it's a baseball game, but to baseball fans it is a fantastic game.
