PS3Clan: Dragon Age II Review

In 2009, the title Bioware Dragon Age: Origins put down. This title could easily play 40 hours immersion in the most intense stories, quests and environments. Now, two years later, it is time for Dragon Age II. The sequel to a successful RPG that again with much tension will bring. You will reduce destiny. You decide how the game will proceed and how it will end. Are you the hero who successfully complete the game to let go? (Dragon Age 2, PS3) 8.5/10

I loved Origins. I played through twice and had started my 3rd playthrough before moving on to other games. Everything about the game and story was great. Combat was not as fluid as it could be and the graphics aren't going to blow you away, but Origins and Ferelden were just perfect.

So far DA2 feels more like "Dragon Effect" than Dragon Age. The combat is faster paced and the graphics are improved but the overall feel of Origins is a bit lost. DA2 is a good game on its own but Bioware kind of dropped the ball by making Dragon Age more like Mass Effect.

And on to the next sequel.

I wouldnt say everything was great , imo .

The story was , but the rest felt like a watered down game and wannabe bioware game of an older glorious era .

If it's going a lite version of their previous fantasy games , it might as well at least be agreable to play ... wich is what i got from DA2 .

Give me dragon effect anything over the Origins gameplay and system .
At least that one can always be improved upon , especially in the choices departement .

The Baldur's gate redux that was origins ? meh not so much .

Again just my opinion , and obviously not a currently popular one

I agree with you on basically everything you say. I also understand and respect your view on it.

I think it boils down to tastes and perferences is all. I agree about the combat system in origins, I just feel like DA2 strayed to far away from the roots and core of the lore (god that sounds lame) and almost feels like a seperate entity on its own.

Maybe I'm being over critical of it. And maybe mind mind will change after I get further in.
