Sony has announced plans to update their marketing campaign to reflect what 2011 has to offer.
since thanks to Microsoft "exclusive" no longer means what it used to, I guess this will have to do
True. If Sony doesn't start a marketing campaign with "Only On PlayStation" everyone else is going to think "exclusive" means "Only For a Few Months" thanks to 360.
Well...ummm, you ever seen those commercials with the "It only does everything" tagline at the end? Thats Sony marketing.
@Eggbert Sorry, did I just come to News 4 marketing?
I hope you aren't trolling but i have seen more PS3 ads as of late. in the beginning i saw more KB ads on PS blog. Sony is doing a better job but also the company is doing better and PS3 is a profits off each sold so i think sony is in a position to pounce on the competition **** the first time i saw the KZ2 ad on tv was the night i brought it and took a break to rest my eyes. but with KZ3 it was few days before KZ3 release. they are working on it
They need to get rid of Marcus and replace him with Justin Bieber LOL I kid I kid. http://www.youtube.com/watc...
I actually just saw a Marcus PSP ad, I think it was a new one. You didn't see Marcus but at the end they had his voice, and his voice has changed.
But Microsoft already got Justing Bieber for the Kinect.
Sony is marketing the PS3 as it should have been from the beginning. Sometimes I think the advertising budget for the Xbox 360 brand is more than they spend on actual development. xD
i lol'd and its very true!
I've got a 360 but Kevin Bulter's KZ3 Move ad FTW. "I call this Daddy's Littlle Helper." LMFAO
Well i am glad and sorry but KB didn't help PS3 more than the last price cut. KB soften the media and people that always hated the PS3 love KB. love moving forward
um, it was reported that PS3 sales went up 33% (i think thats it) since KB commercial started. if its not that then here http://ps3.ign.com/articles... yes they talk about how price cut had to do with it but there research show that people are more educated since the campaign began. "Purchase intent went from 19 percent prior to the price drop, to 36 percent after this campaign started. And we've also tracked our competitors and they've fallen during the same time."
KB ads started before the last PS3 price cut then PS3 sales went up. i stand by what i said and have always said.
You can't expect an abrupt rise in sales the moment the first ad airs. KB ads aired not long before the price cut. Ads + price cut = more sales. Whether KB helped a lot or only a little, could be debatable. But the PS3's name is now out there more often and it works.
I just hope they keep the KB ads and only change the slogan!
The adverts they show in the UK are pretty crap, shame we don't have Kevin Butler adverts. They said it was to do with the rest of Europe because they would have to dub it in differen't languages but the thing is the UK is a country where English is most peoples primary language I don't see why they can't use the Kevin Butler adverts but put GAME/Gamestation etc at the end instead of american game shops.
Not the most original slogan, but anything is better than "It only does everything". Seriously a 5 year old kid could do better than that.
Then I guess they should hire you since you said you could do better. You being 5 years old an all, I bet you could make a lot of money before you turn 6.
Says the guy with an avatar pissing on the word Obama. Very mature.
Lol, really that's all you got? I see from the agrees and disagrees that I seem to have more people enjoying what I had to say then the 5 year old. Maybe you are wrong that a 5 year old could come up with something better. Because no one likes what you have to say. **Hind? Oh you mean "Hide", what facts am I "Hiding" behind?**
It doesn't even take a 5 year old to know that any comments on this website that slate Sony or PlayStation in the slightest are met with hoards of disagrees. I couldn't care less if I get disagrees since half the people on this website are morons anyway. Nice attempt at trying to hind behind that fact.
Actually, he's the VP of Bosses. EDIT: =)
- Fast and Furious reference ;)
Well, it's not really a new slogan, but, they really do need to target promotion for their exclusives. I always thought they should put their exlusives in maybe a blue box just to make them stand out and put Only On PlayStation along the very top front plastic part of the box in silver or something. Make it scream.
- Kind of like how they put the PS+ logo on the awesome content on the Playstation Store. Even if you don't really want it, if you're not a PS+ member it's gonna piss you off that those guys have it and you don't - human nature really.
Well they kind of have to keep up with Wii and Kinect marketing. So really unsurprising news
KB is better then any other ads I have seen so far for games. It's a breath of fresh air from those commercials that show no gameplay, Nintendos lame, uninspired ads or the Kinect ads showing everyone twitching like the have fits. The last interesting commercial I saw recently for a game was the KB LBP2 ad and the Deblob 2 ad.
More Kevin Butler.
Did it ever stop?
