Check out 10 minutes of pure SOCOM 4 gameplay footage.
it only does everything we didn't as for.
Looks much better then Confrontation. Can't wait to try the beta.
I love SOCOM but I hate spawning.
hopefully classic mode delivers
This is game is just not what we asked for on socom.com and everyone keeps telling zipper. the camera should be as far back as it is in spectator mode. there's no dot in the crosshairs. there's no gun hot. there's no free lean. and there's cover. not socom. this is mag in 3rd person.
They're fixing the camera issue Changing crosshairs Cover is there to stay. No lean
They're not fixing the camera, they don't even have a party system in the game yet, that's what they're working on.
Also, who makes respawn ranked in SOCOM? It looks like the biggest mess. SOCOM is about tactics, this is just a run and gun mess. I'm in the PS+ beta, but I'm not liking it that Zipper is trying to compete with COD. Final point, where is the recoil?
They've said many times in the forums and in their podcast that they are moving the camera back. they just don't know if it'll be ready at launch. Also, respawn is there for the newcomers. Classic is there for the vets. You don't like respawn, play classic. U get more xp in classic than u do in respawn.
Well, obviously they streamlined the game. Got a bit CoD feeling to me after watching the video. But being 3rd person I think this goes more up against GeOW3 than anything else. Sony needs a title where they can reach the masses. That's long overdue. Yes, I like how you die hard Socom fans get upset, but a lot of people will be liking it because it will be so much more accessible than previous Socom games. And, speaking of, MAG is still there for a strong tactical MP shooter (no 3rd person, though). Not quite the same thing, but not a run and gun game.
Playing in Spectator mode would be gay... I thought I would like KZ3... But im not feeling it... This might fill the void till Battlefield 3 drops...
