-_-" That's great, but what about the other months MS. Please give me more not Kinect related.

Chapulin2659d ago (Edited 2659d ago )

Yeah Gears 3 + Resistance 3 + Rage = Awesome month

Convas2659d ago

Gears of War 3 and Resistance 3 for me definitely. Rage is still on the undecided list. But it will be an epic month for games indeed!

Megaton2659d ago

Rage for me. The other two I'll try if a friend owns them, but that's about it.

BrutallyBlunt2659d ago (Edited 2659d ago )

Microsoft needs to worry about the full year, not just one month. What's next, in America and in the month of September the Xbox 360 will own the competition?

Chances are Rage will be delayed to a different month so as to not compete with Gears 3.

DarkTower8052659d ago

I'm really rooting for Rage. We need more new IPs. So far its looking like a great game.

I'm kinda getting worried now!

I hope E3 has more to display for regular gamers, because MS seen intent on pushing hard with Kinect!

I know that exclusives aren't really that important, as usually only a few are truely good games and the rest are just space fillers. But I don't plan on buying into Kinect that much.

Boody-Bandit2658d ago (Edited 2658d ago )

This title is very troubling.
First of all MS what about the other 11 months in the year and especially the first 8 months leading up to Gears of War 3?

2nd What about all the other games being released during September (tad bit arrogant), especially Rage? It might not live up to the hype or it could very well be one of the bigger releases of the year.

Finally this is very discerning that you are already focused on September with Gears of War when E3 is still 3 months away. Is this basically you telling the core members up front all you have for us is Gears 3 and Forza 4 as far as excusives are concerned? If that's the case you have completely lost your way.

Inside_out2658d ago (Edited 2658d ago )

If anyone took the time to read the article it clearly says the interview was with Chris Wynn, LEAD PRODUCER of Gears of war 3...NOT

Gears Of War was knocked up to September because Halo was being cancelled this year. Of course maybe M$ might surprise us this year and release it in November instead...but I doubt it. November is a blood bath this year with Battlefield and COD sucking the air out of gaming this holiday. Uncharted will be delayed till December like GT was, If Sony is smart...big IF there.

E3 will provide the definitive answer as to what M$ has planned this year. They have said that they have several games on the go but it's really in the hands of the devs at this point. If Kingdoms is ready to go, it could be a big surprise. Crytek has really been beating their chests about this exclusive. I believe it will be a challenger to Gears for most brutal and bloody graphics...E3 will definitely have game play for that title. It's been in development for a while already.

BIG competition between Epic and Crytek for their respective game engines. Just look at how the GDC went this year.

As for M$...not much to discuss. They had the best xmas ever for xbox and have been rolling in sales and money since June 2010. Halo Reach, Fable 3 and Kinect really destroyed the competition this holiday and is still far out in front for the month of February. Dead space 2, Bulletstorm, Black ops map pack, Crysis beta ( still on ) and now Homefront, Dragon age 2 and Crysis 2 all releasing. Gears of War 3 beta in April. L.A Noire and Brink coming soon as well.

M$ is really lucky the third party line up is so strong this year.

Chaos692658d ago

Uncharted 3 will be huge, but with Call of Duty, Mass Effect, Battlefield, and Skyrim coming out at the same time, it's going to be hard for Sony.

"IF" they care about maximising their sales, then they should release the game in another month.

man, im really starting to hate MS now. and i bought a 360 at launch. just look at this shittacular line up this year. what games do 360 owners have this year? gears 3 and forza 4 those are the only 2 games i can think of. while ps3 has uncharted3,infamous2,lbp2,kz3. all 4 of those games i would pay 60$ for while gears 3 i have no intrest at all in and much less forza 4 as racing games are boring to me. im switching to ps4 next gen seeing as how M$ has betrayed me for the casual gamers.

Well, when your entire ownership has absolutely no games to buy all year that they cant buy on other consoles, I agree MS.. Gears Will probably out-sell whatever else is there. Since it will have an advertising budget greater than actually spending money on development of games..?

meetajhu2658d ago

ballz only they will own. The worlds most technically advanced game engine and video game is getting released! Idsoftware's Rage will make Unreal Engine 3 with directx 11 look last gen.

jcgamer2658d ago

Glad to see Gears 3 getting the "Halo" treatment with the late September release and big marketing push...i always felt like Gears had to play second fiddle to Halo, understandably so...but now it gets the spotlight it deserves :)

Yes the exclusive titles list is a bit barren this year thanks to Kinect. There are always Multiplats...

starchild2659d ago

Yeah, Microsoft need to get cracking on more core exclusives. Too much focus on Kinect. The success of Kinect is great and all, but they need to invest some of that money back into more core games.

Game0N2659d ago

resistance comes out sept.6, microsoft aint owning shit.

starchild2659d ago

Fanboy comment. Gears 3 plays and looks amazing. Resistance 3 might be great as well, but I wasn't too impressed by Resistance 2.

Silly gameAr2659d ago (Edited 2659d ago )

So based off of Resistance 2, you already believe Resistance 3 will be meh? I'm sorry but how is your comment any different from GameOn's?

Gears will will awesome though. That should keep me busy on the 360 for a while, but lets not count R3 out yet.

starchild2658d ago (Edited 2658d ago )

No, his comment is basically saying that he knows Resistance 3 will own Gears 3 when he hasn't even played Resistance 3.

Resistance 2 had a decent critical reception, but not as good as Gears of War 2.

Notice that I did recognize that Resistance 3 might be great. Heck, it might even end up better than Gears of War 3.

I have played the multiplayer portion of Gears of War 3 and it looks and plays fantastic. I have a reasonable expectation that it will be good.

He hasn't even played Resistance 3 and probably hasn't played Gears of War 3. I have played Gears 3 and I am not saying that Resistance 3 won't be great. What I am saying is that Gears 3 is highly likely to be great based on what I played and his offensive comment was unnecessary and out of place.

See, if he had said something like "Gears 3 could be great, but I wouldn't count out Resistance 3" then his comment would have been closer to mine.

I think there is a pretty big difference between our two comments.

But go ahead and pick out my comment to criticize, while you ignore all the comments from PS3 fanboys in this article basically just bashing Microsoft or the 360. It's pretty clear you aren't after fairness or civil discourse.

Convas2658d ago (Edited 2658d ago )

Why can't we just play games and be happy? Why can't you enjoy Gears, he enjoy Resistance, and Me and others enjoy both?

VenomProject2659d ago

That's about all Microsoft will "own" this year.

karl2658d ago

what about the other eleven months of the year MS?
