Pre-order sales for THQ Inc.’s Homefront for Sony Corp.’s Playstation 3 and Microsoft Corp.’s Xbox 360 ranked as the top game product this week at Wal-Mart Stores Inc.’s online division due to high demand.
Hopefully this game gets some attention, would hate for people to pass up on it without even a rent just because they "think" it is a Call of Duty clone. Definitely seems to be a promising games from both gameplay videos and reviews.
I rented it. If I like it I'll buy it.
hopefully its good
I'm so exited for this game. I need a good game to play after the DA2 flop.
2011 the year of the muliplat.
Who cares? The game is gonna suck regardless. Especially on PS3. That system is pure trash. Do you know it took me 1.5hrs just to play BFBC2. There was a 1.05 update I had to download before I could f-ckin' play that required 97 minutes of downloading. WTF?! That's just to play the game. If you're gonna buy a FPS, get it on 360. PS3 always has trouble with shooters on PSN(ie Black Ops, Killzone 3, MW2, Socom Confrontation)
The fact that pre-orders are currently number one at Wal-Mart indicates that somebody cares. Also, the fact that you probably haven't played the game yet, unless you pirated it, means no one can really take your word seriously. I suppose if one was to be such an FPS fan, they wouldn't have gotten a PS3 just to play multiplats on to begin with. Taking an hour and a half to download a 1,752 megabyte patch isn't a surprise; hardly an issue specifically with the PS3. Anyways, you're kind of opening up old wounds; that patch released almost four months ago. Networking issues are ultimately up to the developers. If a game like Resistance 2 has next to no issues at all, but Call of Duty has many, then that is an indicator. Of course, then you'd have to factor in your own connection and experiences, which vary from person to person. You seem to be ranting or venting. Your comment is unfocused; you go from Homefront sucking to how much the PS3 is trash. Then again, you could just be a troll.
I have been following this game for awhile and nothing is impressive about it except the concept. The MP looks like trash especially with the dumb recon planes that you manually control like BFBC2's UAV and the SP is almost never mentioned because its probably just as bland. Also, I wasn't venting. I was stating that many developers have trouble dealing w/ PS3 when it comes to MP games. I foresee complaints Wednesday about Homefront having online issues. I dont care about PS3 fanboy disagrees. I expected that from those losers.
In my comment, did I say anything that was LIE? If I did, point it out and prove me wrong. All those games had online issues on PS3. Do you know why they beta tested BFBC2 on PS3 and not 360, because they already have the configuration down for that system in the past. It's easy to set up parameters and write code for it. PS3's architecture is still being disassembled when dealing with online capabilities and functions. Even GG(Killzone dev) couldnt get the sh!t right. Watch any video of Homefront and you will see it looks like total mess. Its chaotic and the graphics suck. Looks basic. From the explosions to the weapon loadout. Waste of $60 like MoH. Wait for BF3. Gonna pick up Crysis 2 instead
It's not so much that you flat out lied; you left out details in a way that (unintentionally or not) made those issues sound worse than they really are. Now that you've downloaded the patch, you can play it. It's really not anything to get upset over.
Looking forward to this game at lest ill be able to play it online with mates this time round as they went for cod at xmas n i got moh.
orange ps3 doesnt use p2p servers so it goes by ur connection if u got slow internet it will take for ever call ur internet ppl and see ur speed i got a 6mb took me 30 and my cousin has a 20 mb and took less than 2 mins and 360 is trash
"But it teh call of duty clone." Only on game websites do kids formulate such comparison. The average consumer of FPS games which OS a majority of gamers could care less. It's entertainment. Quit trying to make politics out of it. You only get frustrated.
Will be one of the few games i buy this year im getting back into pc of late.
