New comparison shots based on images from Ocarina of Time 3D last week show quite the improvement.
Link is REALLY green now.
it's NOT! it's a total remake of OoT! new engine and everything, of course it will look multiple times better!
But to be fair, it doesnt look multiple times better. If no one knew better you would say its a just a texture slap. Of course i see the improvement in links model, but lots of things just look the same. Just being honest. Yest it looks better but not in such a way we should be amazed by it. Now we wait for the disagrees (FAI, i love zelda games =) )
I think they really want to preserve the feeling of the original but add minor touches here and there so that the game won't look too 'empty'
We will all be sucked in to buying this again.
oh yes o.0
And that's a bad thing?
OH GODDAMN YOU NINTENDO! Now I HAVE to buy a 3DS.
For some reason I like the floors better on the N64 version in the 5th image comparison, the shine is getting to me, lol.
Its good Nintendo is happy updating its games for a newer audience and attracting double dips from previous fans of the game. Its how their bread and butter is produce, Nintendo is at it again :)
"noticeable improvement" lol look again this game shows things that weren't even there before.
Well, duh. Lets take a look at a remake of a 15-year old game (almost) and see which one looks best! I loved Ocarina of Time, but can't afford a 3DS when it comes out so it will have to wait. Probably until they drop a lite-model :)
OoT does not age.
I'm more than happy with everything I've seen so far. Link looks great and the world is more vibrant and detailed. Next, Nintendo needs to re-release Majora's Mask. 3D could be used to great effect in that game.
I hope they remake Majora's mask...its the only zelda game i want to see as a serious revamp with a dark flavor. I've always praised Windwaker for its celshaded world which compliments the Zelda universe very well...but Majoras mask is such a weird game...i wouldnt mind seeing it getting more creepy.
wow the biggest improvement to me has to be the colors. 250€ seems a bit pricy for a N handheld so i might have to wait this one a bit. Once theres a slew of used games and the Handheld is priced at 150€ then ill go pick it up. In the mean time ill just enjoy my NGP. For all you who accuse me of trolling. I have stated that i am willing to get both. Just i prefer to get the NGP before the 3DS since i cant afford to get both at once.
Graphics aren't that impressive... I am disappointed about the 3ds... >__> They waste money on that stupid 3d screen... Same on how sony wasted money on the read touch pad and touch screen... stupid gimmicks XD Instead of making consoles with better battery life we get less and sort of improved graphics...
OOT as a game is better than the vast majority of games that are made these days, yet you're banging on about graphics. Typical of the gamers these days. This is more or less just a direct port of the N64 game with a few touch ups here and there where it's really needed. Everything else doesn't need touched. It looks good enough, and more importantly, it plays good enough. It's Nintendo keeping it faithful to the original. Simple.
Seriously 8 disagrees? i didn't say anything about the game itself. I am talking about the console as a whole. Nintendo has been milking on nostalgia for quite a while now... If i play an old game. I would like to play the way I used to play it. On my console, my old SD tv sitting on bed or the couch. That way it really does take you back in time. But remakes don't really do that to me at least. That's the thing. Why I dislike their approach of the gaming industries...
God i hated that water temple.
The map? use is.
Wow! But for the 4th picture... I hope the entire forest temple isn't lit up like that. But anyways, this looks like a complete overhaul rather than just a slight texture change (as some would say it is). I can't wait!
argh, blocky fingers -_- the rest is good...
