CVG: With a Tomb Raider collection on the way we thought Crystal Dynamics' brand director Karl Steward was the perfect person to give us the details. Here's what he had to say.

people willing to buy it that's all..

Ps3 - backward compatibility = potential $$

why would they ever miss out on an opportunity like that? I say this is purposely done!!

this better than an hd remake & it's free!!
devs can be lazy & still make money!

ok you can defend them now..

& what he said Below me

I have the original ICO and Shadow of the Colossus, GOW 1&2 and Sly games(many people do) along with my PS2 system(didn't need to get rid of it)

And I'm happily buying the PS3 HD collections. Why?
Remastered, Trophies, 60fps, HD.

Also, if you haven't had the chance to play these games before, what better way to play them now :)

Solid_Snake-1970d ago

not alot i wouldnt of thought. but you will still get over charged for it. good thing about xbox originals is that the first xbox was already HD and the ps2 wasnt. so no need for hd versions of games that are already hd.

I don't understand how a ps2 port can't be run at 1080p, at least 720p at 60fps...
I think they're too lazy...

If I may just hijack the topic here, can anyone tell me if the Sly Cooper collection is worth getting for someone who never played them on PS2 but who's sick to death of modern grey macho realistic shooters and wants something different??

HellzAssassin1971d ago

You totally just answered your own question there...

XXXCouture1971d ago

i would say its perfect if you havent played them before, and want something different from all the shooters

redsquad1971d ago

I'm a SLY noob myself but bought the collection - Get it, it's awesome. Make sure you play them in order too. The first game has some issues, but they're ironed out completely for 2 and 3 (2 is my favourite).

The Move mini-games are pretty pointless, but at least offer a few more trophies.

Oh, and Carmalita Fox is hot....

badz1491971d ago

totally worth it if you're a platformer fan. Sly 1 is kinda short but due to the nature of Sly2 and 3 the collection will easily give you lots and lots of game hours , I mean, GREAT game hours!

Kakihara1971d ago

Thanks folks, I'll definitely get it then.
