Sony Announces Move.me, Failed To Mention that It Doesn’t Own It

Sony's Senior Engineer of Developer Support, John McCutchan, announced Move.me yesterday, a paradise for developers looking to hack the PlayStation Move controllers and make some excellent applications in the process. Unfortunately, the Sony big wigs forgot to mention that Move.me was own and operated by another company, and their pissed.

What's up what derangedshaman and having a kind of "bitchy" sarcastic tone in it's articles. Such negative phrasing has yet to be known from other sites. Hard to take what they're saying serious really. Did they even mention patenting a domain with that name? Sure it wasn't just a project name, or a product name? I suppose they would have had that site for it anyway. Oh, well. Sony...

Passthemic2667d ago (Edited 2667d ago )

How does Sony know it can just up and buy the site? Sony jumped the gun on this one, can we at least agree on that?

Istanbull2667d ago

Seems the anti-Sony media is at work again, using every opportunity to shout "Sony iz teh doomzzz"

SasanovaS19872667d ago

what an epic fail of an article. just wow. welcome to the garbage list of websites not to visit, ever. author should be fired, really. do some research before writing something.

You call this person a author?

Third grade grammatical skills and the spelling capabilities of the mentally challenged hardly rate the moniker of writer.

ShadowRyuX2666d ago

Exactly what I was thinking morgan.

"Unfortunately, the Sony big wigs forgot to mention that Move.me was own and operated by another company, and their pissed."

*they're

“Know I didn’t sell it nor have I even been approached about the domain. Moveme.com is owned and operated as a moving site.”

*No,

Shadow you pointed out exactly why I refused to even click the link.

There was an article that he made and approved bitching about Sony lies about MOVE sales and how Kinect was not only superior in sales but also in fun and all that fanboy crap.

After that he tried to explain himself why he was so mad about Sony and why he was acting like a little girl not only he was humiliated on the next 1000 posts, his article was also deleted his account banned and there was only one bubble left for him (he had at least 8 at that time).

I lol'd hard it was funny. So sad.

And that's what he calls "GAME JORNALISM". Better take your pills bro.

People are just clamoring to sue someone these days. Make your own damn money you lazy, worthless bottom feeders.

You feel sorry for poor people, I know I do. But at the same time it's these very people who would spit inside your infected ***hole if it meant them getting paid for it.

I'm sure Sony doesn't plunder the internet daily for new websites or availability, either.

Passthemic2667d ago

Actually they do, its called the marketing department.

gamingdroid2667d ago (Edited 2667d ago )

... but then you get b!tched at for advertising as well.

People always find ways to complain, so you just kind of move on and ignore!

Emilio_Estevez2667d ago

This is not well thought out....Why would they use Move.me as a website?.....It will be a .com,org, or net obviously. Nobody wants that domain name. Move.me is the name of it, not the web address.

doctorstrange2667d ago (Edited 2667d ago )

Even more baffling is "Moveme.com is owned and operated as a moving site.”
If anything Sony may try and buy Move.me url, but it really has nothing to do with the product.

Emilio_Estevez2666d ago

2 out of 2 doctors agree....Must be true.

Apotheosize2667d ago

The author fails to realize "move.me" is not a domain name, its a product name

http://us.playstation.com/p...

thats the site

Passthemic2667d ago

I'm almost certain Sony will buy the domain name, just so no one else can use it.

RememberThe3572667d ago

So thats what you base your article on? A potential domain name acquisition?

radphil2667d ago (Edited 2667d ago )

Jesus.....this is journalism? Off of possibility now?

gamingdroid2667d ago

Sony's marketing department also failed to realize that people can mistakenly believe they meant a domain name.

I mean it sure looks like one.

GodHandDee2667d ago (Edited 2667d ago )

exactly!
for crying out loud, they can just buy a domain called
move.me.com if they like
the site lives up to it's name

Parapraxis2667d ago (Edited 2667d ago )

Another article bashing Sony from this site...what a shocker /s

Also, one of the STUPIDEST articles I have ever seen on N4G

“So did Sony really not understanding that there is a domain extension of .Me just name its product Move.Me? I’m at a loss here, and overloaded on Bahamian nightlife.”

WHO GIVES A SHIT!? Move.me is a Sony product, not a website. It has nothing to do with the ".me" domain suffix...

It's a freaking COINCEDENCE!
