Craig Pearson of PC Gamer writes: "I firmly believe that tactics and action should never mix. Squad-based shooters are currently infecting the FPS genre, leaving a slimy trail of 'tactical awareness' behind. The form doesn't suit the genre in my not-so-humble opinion (hello? expert here). Rule number one of the FPS is that you're a singular entity, a superbeing, the centre of the universe. In that ego-driven scenario, sidekicks, squad members or whatever you want to call them are pure wastage".
