"Afterall, even if you put the same content and change the color, weapons, and environment, and change the name, it would still sell millions"

said it all, i wish FPS could just DIE. duno why Americans are so obsessed with fps. any ideas?

Maybe because Americans think they are superior to others? It's not just applicable to Americans but to other countries as well. Superiority complex or there are some other reasons.

In multiplayer FPS games, they think that they are superior to anybody they pawn. That's why there are a lot of people trash talking and raging on online games.

Yes.

Developers dont want to create anything other than FPS these days.

And when a dev finally creates something different and unique, the game doesnt sell.well. It pisses me off.

Of course you can list some games that have - there's an exception to every rule, but for the most part it's true.

Uncharted franchise easily comes to mind. TPS is being revolutionized by the game . . .

It's true about FPS and I don't like it :/ if people would buy something different that FPS'es, maybe there could be more good and innovative games, not just tech, brown, grey shaders and "bang bang" :)

examples...? too many :/

I use to fee the same way, but FPSes like any other popular genre (RPGs, platformers, fighters) will rise and fall and something else will eventually take its form.
