Why must we have more blu-ray/HD-DVD news? Especially lame news like this

So Microsoft is buying out Video Games & Sony is buying out stores for Blu-Ray. No one is guilt free in this format war & console war

No single member of the BDA Association has that kind of legal authority, let alone intent. Blu-ray is selling a LOT better than HD-DVD, so there's not much reason for retailers to support HD-DVD, especially when they can make a lot more money off of Blu-ray. It's standard business practice to concentrate on the most profitable products.

Really dj?!
Ever heard of 'revenue sharing'?
http://www.videobusiness.co...

And Hastings isn't the first to get 'revenue sharing'
http://www.videobusiness.co...

Even Blockbuster is in on the 'revenue sharing'
http://www.videobusiness.co...

Target also announced a low cost Sony LCD HDTV exclusive to Target the same week they announced Blu-Ray support then?

"Hastings Entertainment has significantly expanded Blu-ray Disc rental in all 150 of its stores following a revenue-sharing deal with Sony Pictures Home Entertainment."

HD-DVD still occupies a third of the shelf space,
and they didn't have to bribe (I mean...revenue-share) to get it.
