In the world of today’s gamers, often when “gamer” and “mom” appear in the same sentence, it is either with humor or disdain. The prevailing stereotype is that moms either just don’t get gaming, or are on some sort of mission to keep young gamers away from their beloved violent gameplay. But, you know what? The face of gaming is changing, and moms now are just as likely to be gaming along with their children as they are to shake their heads over “those kids and their toys.” Gamer moms have a tough job today. They need to show their kids the basics in an digital-centric world while teaching the importance of balance and moderation. And more importantly, they have to get their kids to give them a turn.
