GamePro: Batman: Arkham City First Look

Batman: Arkham City, sequel to 2009's Batman: Arkham Asylum. It's the same development team, same writers, and even the same cast. What's not to like, if you liked Arkham Asylum, right?

The story is too old to be commented.

... not even Ozzie will be able to handle it!

Can't wait :)

First one was by far the best Batman game ever, but Spider-Man 3 still is a superior hero game with better combat, maps, and challenge. I hope they change the simple button mashing from the first game.

Button mashing? I couldn't button mash, I would have got owned if I decided to.

I think you mean Spiderman 2?

Never tried 3 but 2 was amazing.

edit: And yeah, you can't button mash on hard mode. I got to the point of perfecting the fighting system that every fight flowed so well you'd think it was choreographed.

Though I wouldn't mind it being deeper.

Are you calling Arkham Asylum a button masher? Because if you are, then I'm guessing you didn't get many combos or do very well in the challenge rooms? It takes a lot of skill and good-timing to get good combos, beat the challenge rooms and score high points.

Sure, you can button mash all you want. But expect to take hits from the enemies. It takes more skill to enter a fight with ten-or-so men and be able to deflect their attacks, glide over them as they try to hit you, and whack them from behind. It makes you feel like you really ARE Batman.
