BeefJack: "Like the first game, Dog Days could have ended up as videogames’ first successful attempt at doing something relatively new with the idea of career criminals in the lead (as opposed to the predictable narrative of something like Mafia II). It could have gone further into the emptiness and moral decay that comes of choosing murder and armed robbery for a living. It could have fixed the grating flaws of the original. Turns out it doesn’t do any of these things. Other than the queasy thrill of the production values, there’s little reason to play Kane & Lynch 2 other than to dream of what might have been."
