Got mine this morning, will DL later but won't be able to try it out until tomorrow because it is my bowling league night.

Damn, definitely didn't expect that!

Lovin' the Rewards program so far. Thanks Sony!

Hating the rewards program so far! Half the stuff is not rewards, it's just stuff they're denying to regular PSN users!

They're ghettoizing the free service to make the paid service look like a reward! Killzone 3 demo was the proof of this; they just denied it to none paying members!

Edit: Okay, I was misinformed(uninformed) about what the rewards program is. I was more talking about PS+!

Killzone demo was not denied to regular users. PS+ members just got it 1 week early. How is that denying the non paying members?

DaTruth2643d ago (Edited 2643d ago )

Obviously because if there was no PS+ the demo would have been available to free users 1 week earlier!

I thought that was apparent!

There's no technical reason why free users couldn't have it, the paid users don't have better hardware that can somehow play earlier code that free users PS3's just can't run!

Like when 360 gets a timed exclusive, it is denying PS3 owners the game for the duration of the timed exclusivity!

If you're part of the playstation reward system (you have to be part of the PS+ program, but i dunno if it's for everyone or a select few at PS+) and acording to your level (tier) in the reward program (it goes from "Member" to "Select", "Pro" and "Legendary"), you'll get free stuff.. this time is this demo.

How does that work. I'm a plus member, but I never heard of the rewards program.

Infiny2643d ago (Edited 2643d ago )

When, then it's for just a few members... What do i really know is that the program reward you for doing stuff that you usually do... So it's very likely that they gaved this program to those who "play" more, have more achievements (err.. trophies, sorry), paid for more games at the Store, watched more videos, rented movies and stuff.

And that's how you "upgrade" in the program, everytime you play a game, gain a trophy, watch a video, buy something and etc.. you gain more experience and level up in those tiers i said before... It's actually a pretty cool system.

It's only in Beta at the moment. You had to have received an invitation from Sony and responded in time.

Infiny2643d ago (Edited 2643d ago )

Oh yeah, i forgot that.. it's in beta. =[

Edit> ops.. wrong reply, sorry.

Downloaded it, but didn't get to try it out yet.

Being in Playstation Rewards is awesome. Free Special Avatars, DLC/Home items, etc.
