Timeline: Why Duke Nukem Forever Took An Eternity

Originally announced in 1997, the first-person shooter Duke Nukem Forever is finally hitting the Sony (SNE) PlayStation 3, Microsoft (MSFT) XBox 360, and PC and Mac this Spring. It’s unclear if gamers will actually buy it now, but this timeline shows how video game’s Chinese Democracy kept their attention for more than a decade.

The story is too old to be commented.

I guess now we know what the "Forever" in the title really means. Forever to get here.

Actually duke nukem 3d first arrived on pc and then was ported to consoles in which there was an extra episode included on the playstation version of duke nukem 3d which was called duke nukem total meltdown. Also the series first started on pc many years ago as a 2d platformer, the series released 2 separate games in 2d before going to 3d in the third release for the series. Btw the 2d games were fun also and I highly recommend them. Besides the 2d games being released as separate games many years ago they were also included on the duke nukem 3d atomic edition version cd that was released for pc many years ago.
