Optical Overload 107

Bulletstorm came on Tuesday, so that makes tomorrow the third day I’ll be going without sleep. The game is addictive and fun as hell, and honestly makes me want to use words like “dicktits” in everyday speech.

While I’m being honest, I need to say, I originally preordered this game for one reason and one reason alone – to get into the Gears of War 3 Beta! Hell, it wouldn’t be the first time I bought a game for a beta. I bought Crackdown for the Halo 3 Beta. I bought Halo ODST for the Halo Reach Beta, but unlike Crackdown and Halo ODST, Bulletstorm is not a total disappointment. I’m actually glad I bought this game, get what I’m saying dicktits?

Okay, so maybe dicktits doesn’t work in everyday speech, but the combat in Bulletstorm does. The “kick, shoot, whip” combination I find myself using constantly, is addictive but as you can see in the comic, hard for some people to understand. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve gone into multiplayer only to watch everyone around shoot their way through the game like it’s Call of Duty campaign. These people lack imagination and creativity if all they’re going to do is shoot people.

I guess that’s really what I love about Bulletstorm, it turns killing into an art form.
