An Open Letter from Atari

The developers alongside the publisher of the recently released Test Drive Unlimited 2 have released an open letter to fans apologizing for the slew of problems users are having. Offer free DLC as a return. (PC, PS3, Test Drive Unlimited 2, Xbox 360)

Can't complain about free DLC.

DLC on the PC was most likely free anyway. Games are launched with bugs but being launched almost unplayable is total crap development.

This lack of quality should be remembered the next time Atari tries to charge more than $40 for one of their games.

What bothers me is that a few wrecks to discover that unlocks A car was going to be premium content?? Seriously they were expecting people to pay for just that?

What in the hell are you talking about?
Wrecks:
- Jaguar D-Type
- Buggy V8
- Citreon 2CV
- Shelby Cobra 427
- Shelby Daytona Coupe
- Volkswagen Beetle

DLC
- Lancia Stratos (Rally Variant)
- 1969 Dodge Charger

How are they exactly releasing DLC that are wrecks?

You obviously did NOT read my message clearly. I said they were going to release PREMIUM content that has you discover a few wrecks that will unlock a car (I thought it was one car not 2)

So we would have had the option (yes OPTION) to spend real money to find 6 wrecks that you cannot do anything with just to unlock 2 real cars to drive that again, don't really do much for you do they.

That should be free content, not something with $$ attached to it.

A new mini part of an island to discover with challenges to accept etc is what premium content should be, not 2 cars that don't do anything different than the rest of the cars accept for speed.

Clearly? Your original comment was incoherent.

1) Wrecked cars are free once found.
2) It gives people something to do, like me as I have already beat the game.

These cars are not already in the game, artard, These are new cars but they are just making them wrecked cars...

2 cars for 2 weeks on a broken game?

Atari should just close doors and quit the whole thing
their time is long gone
and i don't see them doing any good now a days
so by doing that they'll maintaining the picture that they once had

and so far they are not doing that

I still want to try this game out. I know a lot of my friends said stay away but I was a big fan of the first one.
Tzunoy  +   1234d ago
Stupid companies test your game before releasing.
davidmccue  +   1234d ago
Activision should do the same with black op's and offer free DLC for all the bugs they have had with their game. Good on you Atari at least they know how to treat their customers.
