Wii-diculous? Wii fundraiser raises some concerns at Avon school

There’s a chance first- and second-graders at East Avon Elementary School will soon be able to go bowling, play basketball and baseball without ever leaving the classroom.

A fundraiser earlier this month selling frozen food netted more than $4,600, said Susan Harrison, school board president. The school is hoping to purchase about 28 Wii gaming systems for classrooms, bringing the cost to about $8,000, Harrison said.
