A close look at the confirmed Skyrim monsters

We take a look at Draugr, Dragons, Giants, Trolls and other ugly things from The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.

A massive part of The Elder Scrolls series is fighting. The series is well known for giving you the option to play how you want to, and a lot of that comes down to the fighting in one way or another. As Todd Howard recently revealed, each weapon category in Skyrim has its own weapon skill tree, allowing you to perk up for a specific weapon type (like a sword or a mace, for example). This is all very cool, but we couldn’t do the fighting if we didn’t have any enemies to slash up a bit, so lets take a look at them.

Bethesda always seem to add distinctive enemies in their games. Some enemies you instantly fear upon seeing them, like Deathclaws in the Fallout series, and some enemies are just there for the noobs, like Mud Crabs and Rats in Oblivion. No matter what their ability is, however, it looks like Bethesda has gone all out to make some great looking enemies for Skyrim, so let’s take a look at them.

I hope they get away from the articulated puppet thing that they did with humanoids in Oblivion. Wow that technique really has not aged well, I fired up Oblivion a few weeks ago and I couldn't beleive how dated it already looks.

Also, like 3 years on... really has it been that long??? it is hard to beleive I still pretty much has that much of the game... gasp memorized.

Anyhow, looking forward to this one, this time I will not have to listen to the ex wife nag, with lines like "you haven't eaten in days, we are worried about you" and what not. Yay Skyrim!

You know what, they need to give these monsters some, pizazz! I want to see monsters You can't Identify, hop out the bushes grab you with what looks like hands, and slob green sh%^.

Just grab innocent people, rip their arms off eat it, and then beat you with it. When night falls, all you see is red eyes and hear surround sound growls mutilated body parts along the path being swooped up my something you can't Identify in the trees.

Hell, Kratos ripped heads off and rubbed the blood on his chest .... In Quick time... Well, sort of and all these guys can give me is a giant spider with dazzling Arachnid features?

I'm still going to play it and enjoy it, but can I get an upgrade?

I wish this was online as well. I have high hopes for this game. Oblivion was a great game but it had some bugs, hopefully they've taken care of the issues.
