Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 Review | DamnLag

DamnLag - "It’s been a long, long wait since Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 was first announced last year... The question now, is this: Is Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 a worthy successor and will it last for the next 11 years the same way Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 did? The answer I’ve come up with, after this first week of playing is, 'No.'" (Capcom, Marvel vs Capcom 3, PS3, Xbox 360) -

Agreed!

Huh. I started reading that expecting rage, but he makes a pretty decent point about the problems with the game. I still question the whole roster being broken, though. I think just Phoenix and Sentinel might be the overpowered ones.

Phoenix isn't really overpowered. Yea her attacks are stong but she has low health and Dark Pheonix takes all 5 of your super bars and even then 1-2 good combos can kill her.
LukeWashingTons  +   1303d ago
Do you know how difficult it is to do that when she plays constant keepaway? People I've played like to spam barriers and traps and then call out assits to keep you at bay. Then she activates X-factor when her health is low as well as the healing barrier, making it IMPOSSIBLE to defeat her unless you have a projectile character. Her pressure is fucking ridiculous!

Sentinel

He is the answer to all problems in MvC3, if anyone's overpowered it's him.

Phoenix has less than 50% of a normal character's health. It's hard to say she's overpowered, she's certainly more for the intermediate to advanced crowd who know how to handle their hyper-gauge. Tagging during aerial raves can pretty quickly get those super bars up though and once you're at level 5, send in Phoenix, let her tank and very quickly you'll have access to (arguably) the most powerful character in the game.

The most pertinent problem I can see is Sentinel, who took some aerial control nerfing but gained some unnecessary buffs in the process, plus his aerial use can be turned to aerial abuse once you x-factor him.

It's been like 2 days since the game's release guys, give it time.

The Sentinel being overpowered still almost feels like a joke

I really appreciated this article for being a fair and unbaised review of a game, which is sadly becoming a rarity in the videogame journalisim communitty. Good read, informative and honest.

Damn I wish I could play now and perfect She-hulk...

As relating to the review at hand it was actually very enjoyable and the pictures are hilarious.
