Resident Evil Motion Controls: Simply the Best on Wii

With Kinect and Move both gaining new games and momentum, some may think that Wii is losing some of its novelty. After all, the Move Wand and its sub-controller look very close to the Wii remote and Nunchuk. However, better tech doesn’t always translate into better games, and since Wii has had motion control much longer than its competitors, some experiences on Wii cannot be matched by those on other consoles, and will not be able to be matched for some time.

While it was Wii Sports that made believers out of millions of gamers around the world, those that played Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition would be convinced that not only do motion controls work, but they do in fact make games better. I’d lost count of how many times I’d played through Resident Evil 4 on GameCube, but that wasn’t going to stop me from seeing whether motion controls could work for hardcore games. After all, Resident Evil 4 was one of the best games of its generation, so if they added motion controls that improve...

Use of Wiimote >>>> Use of PSmove

As the article says,
"While the Move Wand is superior to the Wii remote in terms of technology, the Wii remote is vastly superior to the Move Wand in its design and button layout."

What a bunch of children on this site. Since when has a herd of sheep came to this site? Nintendo, you don't belong here. Better button layout is an opinion.

Move is more accurate and the button layout is better on the Move because it's setup the same way but you got four extra buttons around where the "A" button on the wiimote would be. And then on the navigation controller you have a d pad with a trigger underneath.

So I don't understand where you say the wiimote is better button layout when it's the same layout on Move with more buttons. The only difference is the 1 and 2 buttons are way the fuck down there and you can't use them anyway and then the shitty c button on the nunchuk.

motion controls or regular controls, controling your character in the resi games sucks balls. Its time for them to allow the character to walk and shoot, or at least move while aiming by now.

no

lol in all seriousness the controls in re5 weren't thought out properly. They were a tacked on port of the wii controls. It would of made more sense to use the trigger to shoot and grab items, but no it had to be the move button. Same goes with the knife it would of been cool if it used the moves 1:1 capabilities.

I have to say though, the controls for Re4 on Wii were fantastic but it's obvious that motion controls on the move or kinect might be better since they were released later.

So are you saying the tech in the Wii is better because it was the last console this gen to launch? lol. Just because it comes out later doesnt make it better
