Pre-order and launch sales for Halo 3 on Tues. (Sept. 25) have driven Microsoft Corp.'s Xbox 360 past competitors at retailer Amazon.com.
On Tues., the Xbox 360 Premium SKU ranked at No. 5 at Amazon's Computer & Video Games division, an increase from a rank of No. 7 the week prior.
By comparison, Nintendo Co.'s Wii ranked at No. 7 and the 60GB PS3 ranked at No. 9.
Additionally, all three Halo 3 retail SKUs dominate the top three best-selling products in the division. The $59 Standard Edition ranks at No. 1, followed by the Limited and Legendary Edition at No. 2 and No. 3, respectively.
