3News: Killzone 3 review

Killzone 3 is one spectacular game - sure, it’s really only doing the basics in terms of gameplay, but it does it in the balls-to-the-walls, damn-the-expense, ultra-intensity manner that only a top-shelf, big-budget, mega-spectacular can. If you are even remotely interested in FPS games, you need to play this. It’s an awesome experience that’s backed up by a solid multiplayer mode and it has the best controls of the series.

Extremely highly recommended and, despite its somewhat lacking imagination or ability to drive the genre forward from a gameplay perspective, it’s the peak of current action-oriented shooters - period. (Killzone 3, PS3) 4.5/5

is a bit annoying, well high standards are set for Sony games it appears.

He is correct in saying that...and in defense of KZ3, I can't remember another FPS game of recent memory that pushed the FPS genre forward. It's been stale for YEARS. Does not mean its a bad game or a bad issue, it's just that the FPS genre has not changed since system shock/HL2 or DOOM.
KZ3 has not changed it...Halo Reach has not changed it...COD has not...
The gameplay remains the same

well yea that's true .. but why take a jab at the game because it did not like most FPS games .. why point it out here?

i know of any other game that uses move like kz i know there are some out there but its really worth using in kz not the others games out right now. kz gives people to own move

Yeah i'm loving the beta with the Move. I simply cannot go back to using the Dualshock for FPS. I love the precision with the Move, and though at first the movement was odd, I am now fully comfortable with it and it is more intuitive than any other control scheme.

kinda funny cause killzone 2 story was great not as gd as the 1st kz mind and KZ2 multiplayer was hit & miss for me but KZ3 is for lack of a btr word kick ass online & offline i've put in jus over 20 hours & am rank 27 & jus can't get enough, cannot wait for the full release

I know this is a bit off-topic, but been watching a film on fiver (UK digital channel) and every adverts (15mins or so) there was an ad for KILLZONE 3, sponsoring the film. There were a few different ones showing about 10seconds gameplay.
Good to see Sony are showing the game on TV.
