TGV: Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D Hands-On

Nintendo’s new 3DS handheld certainly isn’t short of big-hitting franchises. Street Fighter. Metal Gear Solid. Dead or Alive. Ridge Racer. And that’s to say nothing of Nintendo’s own legendary series.

So, Capcom have decided to go one better and release not one, but two Resident Evil games. Resident Evil: Revelations and Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D.

It definitely seems like a quick fix until they get a proper RE title out later, like Revelations.

If I get the chance, I'll certainly give Revelations a go to give the RE series a fair shake.

My only concern is that I#ll end up liking it so much I'll be compelled to seek out the originals - and my Pile of Shame is large enough as it is!

I played it out at the Euro Press Launch... fun, but god damn the controls...

The only part of the controls I had an issue with was the new strafe ability... it's really useful when you get hang of it though.

Eh, glorified minigames is all Nintendo seems to be lately.

I hope Mercenaries comes to be more robust.
