XPhone – Xperia Play competitor with WP7 from Microsoft?

Unfortunately, no. It’s just a concept from designer Long-Nong Huang. He created visualization of Microsoft’s portable console/smartphone with Windows Phone 7.

never going to happen. And its more like xperia is competition for the iphone. The windows phone hasnt taken off at all.

The smartphone market is coming so canabalized its impossible to reach the same success as the iphone

"The xphone hasnt taken off at all." What xphone???

plb2780d ago (Edited 2780d ago )

What? Android has been outselling iPhone for over the past year and that number continues to increase..where have you been?

VonAlbrecht2780d ago

Actually it has taken off. It's not anywhere near the competition, but Microsoft is throwing down pretty hard this time around. The fact that you initially erred called it an Xphone means you clearly have a limited understanding of the platform.

i will only agree that WP7 has not really taken off and like plb said, android has been out selling the iphone for a while now

even though these pics are fake....why use that same shitty D pad?

r1sh122780d ago

@silacrest..
I was wondering the same thing..Why would they use the old D pad since they have just re-designed one?

WP7 phones have been selling averagely but they havent had a massive surge like the android phones.
Ive had 2 android phones in the past 2 years, I like android so far, but I have to say that before I got my desire HD 2 months ago, I went to a store and checked out the WP7 phones..I was impressed because they were responsive like no other. I wouldnt buy one so early having learned from my first android experience. When android first came out it had lots of issues, most of which have been fixed. Same goes with WP7 - the massive data transfer??
I might consider a WP7 in a year or so, if android start losing it (which is unlikely)

Burning_Finger2780d ago (Edited 2780d ago )

I LoL. If that happens, Microsoft really do idolized Sony in every products they make. ;)

Xperia play is only one phone. Windows phone 7 is a os that runs on various phones. They are not comparable.

silvacrest2780d ago

if you want to use that logic the xperia play is running android, along with hundreds of other android phones, so i guess your still right, they are not really comparable
