Dissidia 012 Final Fantasy: A portable game worthy of a console (Hooked Gamers preview)

Dissidia 012 Final Fantasy, pronounced as Dissidia Duodecim (latin for twelve), is the next game off the Final Fantasy production line at Square Enix. It has been conceived as a prequel to its predecessor Dissidia: Final Fantasy and will attempt to improve upon the whole experience, particularly for long-time fans of the franchise. The success of the previous game on the PSP seems to have encouraged Square Enix to pack Dissidia 012 with plenty of features that make this a more than worthy addition to the Final Fantasy franchise.

"A portable game worthy of a console "

I find this statement really idiotic

I wish more "console games were worthy of portables"

And in terms of quality, pretty much all the ff spinoffs have had the "quality of the console games"

- revant wings, ff gaiden, ff tactics advance 2, crisis core were all fantastic
what a moronic article

The game is a really cool fighter. Or even so, it has the Action RPG feel of Kingdom Hearts but way more fluid in the combat. I wouldn't mind an HD PS3 version, wouldn't mind a Move compadibale one either.

Make it downloadable on PSN ;)

Surprised they haven't done it with peacewalker yet =/

I thought Peace Walker was available on the PSN Store?

And I imagine Dissidia Duodecim will be also, but it hasn't even been released here yet.

I sure tehpees3 means make it downloadable on PSN, and playable on your PS3, to make network play easier.

Also, it hasn't been released anywhere yet. It launches in March in all territories.

I hate the portable game vs console game comparison too. Most game reviews seem to make it some law or something that if it's a portable game it's therefore inferior to the market and cannot be scored above an 8, unless it's God of War.

Rant aside, there are plenty of immensely fun games on portables, and Dissidia being on a console wouldn't magically render it higher quality. You even have the option to play the PSP on your HDTV, if you must.
