Composer for the Mass Effect series, Jack Wall will not be returning to close out the trilogy for Mass Effect 3.
inconsistency don't you think? clint mansell isn't bad though, loved his "moon" score very dark and atmospheric ^^
But Jack Wall... oh, that sucks. I have both scores from the first two games. He should be the one to finish it. If Mansell changes the ME theme, I will hunt him down and personally hand-deliver a very strongly worded letter in the most polite way possible. Thanks Jack for all the memories.
The music in ME2 is amazing.
They both fit the mood of each game imo
I know guys, I loved the first 2 soundtracks so much and I listen to them regularly waiting patiently for ME3 to come out. they have this blade runner magic in them if you see what I mean: Vangelis tone.
That's ok, this game will kick ass still. I can't wait for this to come out. I can't wait to kick the reapers collective asses.
Don't forget about the Geth attacking London! As I, and other British people would say: "We gonna kick them blooming, buggering Geths in their arses." Well, not really -- but that's how some people portray us as.
Does that mean we're going to have a new score? The original is one of the most epics song I ever heard in a video game... http://www.youtube.com/watc... Hope that's not the case. Would be totally different.
That's disappointing. Some of the score were pretty catchy that my GF enjoy listening to it. I found the score fitting.
Crap, I really liked the first two soundtracks. Hopefully they don't change the sound too much.
Clint Mansell is as good as it gets in the modern composer world. Check out his very well known score Lux Aeterna form the album Requem for a Dream on youtube. This score is probably the most used in commercials and videos in recent history.
I thought requem for a dream was a film
It is a flim, but also a sound track album with the same name for the same film.
To close out the trilogy so ME3 will be the last one that would be good since it wouldnt feel like a "milked" franchise.
Maybe because its on earth they need a different kind of music or something..
he thought it was the music that made the game sell and wanted more money
Bad move from Bioware the original composer understands the universe better than this new guy and for me is really sad cause one of the master keys for every game in my point of view is the soundtrack if this new guy fails with the job this game will probably be less immersible than the others... lets hope he get it right...
ah my favourite music will be "Virmire Ride" i have that playing everytime i go to my quarters in me2 and have it on youtube as well lol
I will certainly miss having him along
That's not good. What about the map screen music? Also, I love the kind of synth electro music within the games.
loved the map screen music.
It's too bad jack backed out, but clint mansell will do fine. Moon had an awesome soundtrack.
Damn that is like saying Harry Gregory-Williams isn't going to compose the music for the next Metal Gear Solid game.
As for the new composer of ME3, Clint Mansell, you do what you do best.
Looks like a lot of people have nooo idea who Clint Mansell is. HE IS AN AMAZING COMPOSER. Hype increasing.
I'm expecting sad moments in ME3... Clint Mansell's AWESOME "Death is the Road to Awe" http://www.youtube.com/watc...
