NowGamer: Although the announcement that Guitar Hero had been killed shocked more than a few individuals, in reality it was always on the cards. Floundering in a market that had clearly peaked – and one that showed no signs of finding a second wind – there wasn’t much more Activision could’ve done with the franchise, save upping its support for downloadable content.
